EBM-PAPST
EBM are one of the world’s largest electric motor and fan manufacturers. They were initially established in 1963 in Germany and have manufacturing facilities in Germany, China and USA. They employ 11,000 staff in 57 worldwide sales offices, primarily they only make items to order. EBM make a large range of products from small compact axial fans all the way up to large guard mounted axial fans. Their products have a variety of uses from data centre ventilation, to domestic gas blowers. OLMO
An Italian company, OLMO was formed after WW2 in Milan and for thirty years it was one of Europes leading manufacturers of axial fans, fan coil motors and direct drive blowers. OLMO was bought out in the late 1980’s and production was moved across. The OLMO brand lived on for many years under the new business. OLMO was specially famous for their K31, MINI, TL double shafted fan coil motors which were used in many fan convectors around the world. They had other ranges such as REVR backward curved fans, RR blower fans, RE, REO & VARE axial fans.

REMCO
Founded in 1983 as a spares business REMCO became a leader in fractional horse powered fans and motors. Originally in Chichester REMCO had a warehouse with a varied range of products from mutli-fits, fan coils motors, blower motors and guard mounted axials. REMCO was bought out in 2012 and assimilated into a large American conglomerate.

ELCO
Formed in 1954 by the Columbo family in Milan, Italy. Elco at one point was the largest electric motor manufacturer in the world producing some 50,000 motors a day from the Milan factory alone. Elco has factories in Spain, Brazil and China employing 800 members of staff. Elco was bought by a large American organisation in 2012, investments in infrastructure have been made to continue their existing product ranges. Elco is predominantly known for their shaded pole N Series motors, but they also produce CFR guard mounted axials, RG & FG fan coil motors, CN shaded pole, EBA/ECA/ECB/ECM/EDA/ESB energy saving motors, M58 ring mounts and BT fan coil motors.

AO Smith
Over the years AO Smith UK has been known under many different names such as Universal Electric, Magnatec, FASCO, Regal Beloit but what remains constant is they are UK manufactured products. Originally formed in the USA in 1942 it wasn’t unti 1974 when the UK factory was opened, the motors they produce are an component of a finished refrigeration or heating equipment. They have six different sized frames of motors, A framed shaded pole motors, C framed shaded pole motors used in fan coil units, D frame single & doubled shafted PSC motors, H framed (the largest produced), J frame small shaded pole, K frame and finally S frame open framed skeleton motors.
